During an official trip to Germany, Sri Lanka’s President Anura Kumara Dissanayake extended a formal invitation to German investors to explore the growing opportunities within Sri Lanka’s tourism industry. This outreach was designed to foster greater international partnerships, particularly with Germany, a country with a rich history of tourism engagement in South Asia. On 13th June 2025, the President engaged with key figures from Germany’s Tourism and Travel Industry Associations as well as leading Outbound Tour Operators at the prestigious Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Berlin.
